Hello! I am Lakeland Elementary School's counselor, Ms. Barry. Each day, I strive to help all Lakeland scholars be their Bobcat Best—safe, kind, and productive! To support scholar success, I teach social-emotional skills lessons to all classrooms throughout the year to build scholars' skills in emotion awareness and regulation, empathy and problem-solving. In addition, I facilitate small groups for children in areas such as friendship and emotion regulation. When needed, I also work with children individually on a short-term basis. Furthermore, I provide families with information and referrals to community resources that may be of assistance.
